1.1Enhancing english ability as international language
English in this era is essential since everything like education, information center, trade etc use english to communicate. Being a part of SEA Teachers’delegate will make someone better in english since it is used every teaching practicum.
1.2Understanding science related
Understanding science with different language challenges me to always improve whether from the language and science itself.
1.3Training the public speaking
Of course being a teacher will have a lot of time to speak in front. It is an opportunity for SEA Teacher delegates to have fluent public speaking.
1.4Being open minded
Having different cultures, religions, races ets make every SEA Teacher delegates open minded that the world is beautiful with its differences.
2. Procedures of Practicum
Routine, It consists of checking attendance, arrangement of proper seat, and asking homework if available.
Review, It consists of reviewing the previous lesson with the aim to sharp the students memory about the lesson.
Motivation, It consists of the way teacher teach for example by dividing students into 6 groups.
Presentation, Teacher presents and explain the lesson and then discuss with the students.
Discussion and Analysis, It is the way teacher find learning method to solve the problems faced.
Generalization, Asking some students to conlude the lesson so that they will not forget it.
3. Outccomes of Practicum
The outcome of economics practicum was creative mapping natural resources that done by grade 9. I gave them assignment to draw natural resources that exist in the philippiness. Amazingly they did it very well.
4. Challenges of Practicum
Honestly, I did not find hardship in teaching because my mentor used to motivate and boost me. Maybe the challenge is the naughty students, but it was a normal. They were naughty but they still kept paying attention on the lesson, perhaps it was their way of learning.
5.Overall Impression
first time I came in the class, I was amazed with the students because of their fluent english. It is different situation from indonesian that almost the students can’t speak english. All filipinos are able to speak english well, when my friends and I went to public market to buy vegetables and amazingly the vendor could speak english very well. They can speak english well because of from colonization history that philippines was colonized by americans so that why their english is american.
On 11 September 2019, there was a sad day since it was the send off program. The program was also wonderful which involved BSU’s students, they performed dances and choir. Indonesian SEA Teacher delegates also performed dance from Lampung that’s Bedana. It is a couple dance boy and girl. Each of us were given an apportunity to deliver a speech along our experiences in BSU. We said thanks to everyone who had made the program successful. “Being part of SEA Teacher delegate is amazing, it not only a story but history that will be a beautiful memory” I added. After the program officially closed, we were sad and then we took photos together.
On Sunday, 25 august
2019 in La Trinidad seemed there was no rain. We had breakfast together in the dining
room, after finished all of my friends went out to buy things that they wish and
changed money. I just spent my day in Guestel since I had been aware of clothes
that we dried outside.
On Monday, 26 august
2019 was actually my first teaching day. But, in the same date there was a
holiday so that I just prepared to create a lesson plan for Tuesday’s meeting.
On Tuesday, 27 august 2019 was the day where my heart beat so fast since it was my first teaching day. I prepared everything for teaching 2 grades they were 9-3 and 9-1. At 8.45 until 9.45 I taught in grade 9-3 the first material was about Scarcity. I explained it by using power point and the students in this class was very active so that I did not find any difficulty. Then, at the end of the meeting I gave them assesement related to its materials, after that I divided them into 5 groups to draw natural resources mapping on A4 paper and should be submitted in the following meeting. After an hour teaching time showed me 9.45 and it’s morning break for 15 minutes. I just stayed in SEA Teacher’s office with my friends to prepare next class since I had to go to grade 9-1 at 11.00 until 12.00 still in the same material as grade 9-3. Students of grade 9-1 was very active too so that I could explain the material easily. I gave them assesement and assignment same as grade 9-3, the difference is only they were not divided into group, but a pair as they requested. There were 16 piars and each pair should draw philippines’ regions on a white big paper and they should submit in the following meeting. Amazingly, their works were incredible and I brought 1 drawing to Indonesia.
Learning process of Grade 9-3

2019 was actually no class for me since I handled grade 9. But, I remained to
go to SLS of BSU because I must attend flag ceremony. Interestingly SLS held
flag ceremony everyday, it was amazing. Then I was invited by my mentor to come
in the grade 10-2. After the class finished, I continued to make lesson plan of
wants and needs for Thursday meeting.
On Thursday, 29 august

Gundul-Gundul Pacol and Yamko Rambe Yamko. After each country showed their
performances, then we exchanged each other. Firstly, our buddies taught us
about the couple dance. We practiced it, it was difficult for me because the
movement was complicated. My indonesian friends used to try although little bit
difficult. Then, it’s time for exchanging indonesia’s traditional dance. We
taught them about bedana dance from Lampung, it’s a couple dance between boy
and girl. When time showed us at 12.00 we broke to have a lunch together, we
ate philippine cuisine such as sayote. After that indonesian SEA Teachers went
to Guestel to pray, after we finished praying we went back to projector room to
continue our cultural exchange. We exchanged our cultures until 4 p.m and we
decided to dance Bedana for closing ceremony that would be held on September,

and consumption. To motivate students, I gave them extra points who could be
able to answer my questions related to current lesson. Fortuately, there were
three students who were brave to answer questions. As usual at the end of the
meeting, I gave them assignment and they should sumbit it in the next meeting.
At 12.00 p.m I should go to Guestel to pray, then at 1 a.m. I went back to SLS
to teach grade 9-2 about wants and needs. They were also anthusistic in asking
and answering questions given.
Learning process of Grade 9-2
On Tuesday, 03
September 2019 I had 2 classes they were grade 9-3 and 9-1. Firstly, I started
teaching in grade 9-3 at 8.45 until 9.45 about production. I explained the
definition, kinds of the costs etc and then I motivate them by giving
indonesian currency coins who were able to answer questions. Then, I took my
morning break before attending grade 9-1, at 11.00 until 12.00 I taught about allocation
and consumption. With the same opportunity as grade 9-3 I gave them indonesian
currency coins if they could answer my questions. And there were several who
could be able to do it. They were so active to answer so that I gave them more
opportunity to talk about the lesson in front the class. At the end of the
meeting I mandated them by giving assignment about the lesson.
On Wednesday, 04
September 2019 as usual I had no class but I had to come in SLS to attend flag
ceremony continued to come in Grade 10-2 while observing. I just noticed my
mentor’s teaching method and strategics so that I could implement in other
classes.
On Thurday, 05 September 2019 was my sad day since it was the last day of meeting in grade 9-3 since the lessons had finished. Besides, at 10.00 a.m until 11.00 a.m. I taught grade 9-1 about production as usual I explained the definition, kinds of the costs etc and then I motivated them by giving indonesian currency coins who were able to answer questions. I told them that today is our last meeting, we were so sad. I just asked them to write suggestions about my teaching in order to improve my teaching skill in the future and suprisingly grade 9-3 sang a song for me and it made me sadder, but I said to them it’s not the last we met because we would have met tomorrow out of the class. Then, we took pictures in front of science building. After taking pictures I went to Gustel to pray, then at 2.30 p.m. I went to SLS to teach grade 9-2 about allocation and consumption.
Grade 9-3 Grade 9-1
On Friday, 06 September
2019 I just had one class since grade 9-3 and 9-1 had finished the lessons. But
then, I had to go to SLS in the morning to attend flag ceremony as usual. While
waiting for teaching grade 9-2 I just stayed at SEA Teachers’ room to prepare
teaching. At 10.00 a.m. until 11.00 a.m. I taught them about Production by
giving examples, drawing production’s curve etc. Due to the last meeting, I
asked them to write suggestions for me myself on a small paper I shared one
each. Actually we would take pictures in front of science building due to
drizzle we just took pictures at SLS hall with Mam Imee. And then, I went to
Guestel to prepare going to mosque since it was quite far so that my indonesian
friends and I got on a Jeepney to take us there. We went there at 11.00 a.m.
and arrived at the mosque at 12.00 a.m. due to traffic along the road. After we
finished praying we went back to Guestel and took a rest.
The BSU-SLS use the ‘K to 12’ basic education curriculum. The ‘K to 12’ Program covered Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of Primary Education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle level skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.
Lesson Plan
This is one of the lesson plans that I have created in the Phillipines.
As I observed my mentor’s teaching method in the class used speech and discussion. Firstly, she explained the materials by using power point and then she gave opportunities to students who wanted to ask questions related. The methods were actually similiar to Indonesian teachers, but she could apply them very well.
Technology Used
The advancement of technology encourages teacher to use innovative material. My mentor applied power point and videos from mentor’s computer or laptop. Students were not allowed to bring cell phone in the school so they had to use books as resources. But, the school provides library and computer room where they can find the materials on it. The library is BSU’s libarary where internet connection available so that sometimes they go to library to do their tasks.
Learning Materials
As I did observation at grade 9, students used books as references which they got from library. At grade 9 also used board, chalk and marker to explain materials deeply.
Assesement
Teacher gave students assesement in the end of the meeting. It was aimed to refresh and sharp the materials. It depended on the time, if it were enough time, teacher would give them sssesement.

BSU-SLS has some facilites to support students’ learning activities such as projector room, computer room, library, court, and organization like drumb band. These facilites aim to achieve the vision.
I started going to
Radin Inten II Airport on Thursday, 15 August 2019 at 4.45 p.m. by getting on a public
transportation. I was accompanied by my friends, it was hilarious since 45
minutes travelling. When we had arrived at the airport, we said good by one
onother and I checked in immedietly. Besides, waiting for my friend on her
way,I decided to pray. After that, she and I waited about 1 hour to board in,
then we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 9 p.m. the following
flight was on Friday morning at 4.20 a.m. to Kuala Lumpur International
Airport. It took around 2 hours, we transitted for2.40 hours. After that we
board in and finally on Friday, 16 September 2019 at 2.10 p.m. we arrived at Ninoy
Aquino International Airport and there were some friends from UNJA and UAD who
had waited us and so did Mam Alawas as SEA-Teacher supervisor of BSU.
After the participants arrived and gathered,we got on a bus to go to BSU Guestel. My friends and I was suprised since Mam Alawas told us that 6 to 8 hours travel depended on the traffic. Finally we arrived in BSU Guestel at 11.30 p.m. and then Mam Alawas showed our room and we came in to arrange the things on place provided and then take a rest and sleep.
Welcoming Program of SEA Teachers
With dean, supervisor, coordinator, and indonesian SEA Teachers .
This day was a day what we were waiting since we would be officially recognized as SEA Teacher’s participant of BSU. Firstly, 7 indonesian attended ceremony with BSU’s president, dean, lecturers and officers. Secondly, we were invited to president’s office, it was an honor for us. We also invited to go to BSU Library and there was a guide to tell everything inside it. We were so glad to see incredible library such BSU own. The guide toldus that its library didn’t collect undergraduate thesis due to space, they just collected its soft file. Then, we were introduced with our mentors and buddies.
BSU’s Library
Time showed us 12.30
p.m.and we went to BSU Guestel to pray Zuhur and at 1.30 p.m. should have
arrived in BSU Secondary Laboratory School to meet our mentors. Economics’
mentor is Mam Imme, she is brilliant mentor. Then, One of the officers told us
about SLS that they conducted ceremony everyday from Monday to Friday,it
shocked me but interesting.
